Thin Film Imaging Technologies, Inc. (TFI) was established in 1996 by Michael T. Krawczyk to serve the growing need of biomedical instrument manufacturers for high performance optical interference filters.
TFI's manufacturing capabilities include filters in the wavelength region of 330nm to 1700nm, in both soft and semi-hard categories. From standard 3 cavity type designs to multiple cavity filters with slope characteristics to 1%(50% to .001%)
Coatings are applied in high volume vacuum equipment custom designed to hold tight tolerances over a large area.
Our facility is equiped with coating chambers running on two shifts, four precision spectrophotometers including a Cary 500 UV-Vis-NIR for the measurement of out of band characteristics to OD6 or 0.0001%. The glass fabrication area contains CNC diamond drilling, shaping, and edging, manual diamond drilling and sawing, Double planetary Grinding and pollishing.
Filters are measured in a collimated beam instruments with resolutions of 0.1nm and transmission accuracy of +/- 1%. Wavelength accuracy is calibrated to low pressure mercury arc lamp at 546.1nm or deuterium lamp spike at 656.1nm.
Our extensive experience and capabilities allow us to offer wide selection of filters for the OEM and research scientist. Whether you choose from our Stock Filters or require a custom item TFI has a solution for your light filtering application.
If you are currently receiving filters from other vendors, we invite you to submit your requirements for a prompt, price competitive quotation.
